Today Ps. Michael Nagy gave us a flying lesson.
176 seconds is average time that it takes for an untrained pilot to crash a plane if he flies into cloud. This happens because the pilot does not trust his instruments which are telling him what the problem is - but instead puts trust in his senses, which override what the gauges are saying. A pilot needs to be trained to believe the gauges over natural feelings.
God has given us gauges in our walk that we trust - Prayer, the Word of God, Fellowship of the Saints, Prayer & Fasting, Serving Others, Love for one another. We examine ourselves regularly by checking our gauges - and we trust in God to bring us through our difficulty.
1 Tim 4:14 Do not neglect the gift in you, which is given you by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the body of elders
Mat 23:11-12 But he who is greatest among you shall be your servant...
1 Corin 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
We know that all things work together to good for those that love God (Rom 8). Just as Job trusted God, we look through a glass darkly, and in times when we don't understand what is happening in our lives, we trust God to pull us through.
